Get Felt Up!

Okay, only kidding. But I do have quite an obsession with felt. For a while, my town only had one decent source for felt, but now we have two more stores with loads of unique felt colors! I've been buying it up like crazy and, lucky for me, the felt generally only runs between .25 and .30 cents a piece. Plus, I usually have a coupon, which takes each piece down a few cents. Nice!

I've been experimenting with felt projects and thought I'd share a few with you guys.

First are my felt ornaments:

Next up are my felt brooches:

And last, but certainly not least, are my felt garlands:

Many of these designs are available in my Etsy shop. The rest will be sooner or later. Probably later :)

What crafty things do you like to make with felt?

Happy felting,

Lauren

Christmas Favorites

Or ornaments, to be exact.

My very favorite ornament. It's vintage, too!

Peace seems to be the theme of my tree..

Hoot! Hoot!
My mom got me this a few
weeks ago at K-Mart of all places.
How cute!

A glimpse of my fab tree skirt, which is
actually just a scrap of fabric!

These remind me of huge chandelier earrings.

I got a few of these at Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
I've got some in green, too!

I made the bottom ornament with
paper scraps and Mod Podge a few weeks
ago. You can't see it well, but I also made
the huge bow!

This reminds me of a candy
cane with a modern twist!

Earth! It says "Peace" on it, too!

My cute penguin ornaments, tree skirt,
 and antique painted frame!

Who's ready for Christmas? I sure am!

Mod Podge Addict? Perhaps.

I've recently been working on paper projects with Mod Podge and I must admit that I've become quite the Mod Podge addict. I thought I'd share a few of my latest creations with you guys. I hope you like them!

Yahoo for Mod Podge! :)

My Newest Endeavor...

Handmade ornaments!

About a month ago, I picked up some plain cardboard ornaments at Hobby Lobby on a whim. I hoped to get inspired to create something interesting, and I think that I did just that! I'm a huge fan of Christmas and, though I love the traditional red and green color scheme, I wanted to create a few ornaments that were a bit nontraditional. My Christmas tree upstairs is decorated in black, white, apple green, and turquoise, so I decided to make an ornament to match it. My intention was to keep it for myself, but I decided to share it with you guys. Here is the finished product:

Black and Cream Damask Ornament

I've got a handful more that I'm currently working on in multiple colors and mediums. Here are a few that are already listed on Etsy!

Polka Dot Ornament

Polka Dazzle Ornament

I'll be listing new ornaments in the near future (hopefully before Chrismas.. hah!) Hope you guys are having a lovely fall day!
