Today I....

Woke up early (even earlier than usual), had a delicious breakfast at a school, did loads of paperwork, decorated for a graduation, cleaned my craft room on my lunch break, did more paperwork, did my lesson planning, went to a graduation at work, ran back and forth between students for three hours, straightened up the labs, went home, baked 36 cupcakes, decorated 36 cupcakes, and cleaned the kitchen.

I am woman, hear me roar! {and also hear me beg for a mental health day.}

My Crafty Space: A Preview

Remember this hot mess that I shared in last night's post?

I had plans to work on this last night, but things (like being super lazy) got in the way. Instead I worked on cleaning this area up during my lunch break today. Here is the {somewhat} finished result:

What I'm Working On {Wednesday}

It's Wednesday and this is what I am working on!

Treat bags for my little fellow's seventh birthday!

Creative Inspiration: Spring Dresses

photo from Forever 21

As much as I love bold and bright colors, I think pastels are my favorite. I am especially loving all of the pastels and nudes that are popular this spring! As soon as I saw these dresses on Forever21.com I started thinking of jewelry designs that would look nice with them. Isn't it funny how a photo of dresses can inspire you to create something?

I hope that you are feeling inspired on this beautiful Wednesday!

Creative Inspiration in a Bottle

I found this Wet n Wild nail polish at Walgreens last night and loved the color and the $1.99 price tag! The color is Wet Cement and I'm not sure if the color actually resembles wet cement, but I sure do like it! The color has taupe, grey, pink, and purple undertones and looks great with the nudes and blush pinks that are in this spring. The polish features the Manicurve pro brush that makes application super easy and even.

This post is unlike most of my crafty posts, but the color is serving as creative inspiration for some projects that I want to work on. I'm thinking pearls, lace, chain, floral fabrics, et cetera. Stay tuned! :)

The Liebster Award

My friend and fellow bridesmaid in Chelsea's wedding, Ashley, passed the Liebster Blog Award on to me! Thanks Ashley!

Liebster means darling or beloved for those of you who, like me, didn't know what it meant :)

Here is the Liebster Blog Award criteria:

The Liebster Award is for up-and-coming bloggers (200 followers or less) that you think deserve recognition for their fabulous blogging abilities.
Here's how this award process works...

Each nominee should:
  • Choose blogs to give the Liebster Award to.
  • Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
  • Post the award on your blog.
  • List the bloggers you gave the award to with links to their sites.
  • Leave a comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award.
  • Share five random facts about yourself.
 Who I am passing on the Liebster Award to.....
Sara Grace at Dutch & Me

My Five Random Facts...
  1. My favorite hobby is probably sewing, but I don't do it as often as I'd like because I tend to get really frustrated.
  2. I don't like sitting still. I always feel the need to be accomplishing something even when I am trying to chill out. Though this comes in handy in work situations, it is a little frustrating when I'm trying to relax on the weekends!
  3. I'm a huge homebody. I do love going out with my friends, but nothing beats staying home and crafting. :)
  4. I love my job and I am so thankful that I am not a waitress anymore, but I look forward to the day when I am a social worker.
  5. I am afraid of frogs. Don't ask why. Sam has tried to show me that they are harmless, but I am still afraid. It's just my thing.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Monday! :)
